Founded in 2006 and is headquartered in McLean, Virginia.

Today we have approximately 30 full-time professionals in multiple customer locations throughout the Washington, D.C. area providing Cyber Warfare Engineering, Procurement & Acquisition, Program Management, and Training to our customers.


Commitment

Hegarty Research are are personnel are deeply rooted in Electronic Warfare, Cyber Warfare, SIGINT (ELINT & COMINT), Information Operations, Information Warfare, and Communications Electronic Attack.

We bring together a unique mix of personnel with engineering, domain, and operational expertise from service in the Navy, Air Force, Army, and Marine Corps. Our experience spans research and development activities to front line deployments across the globe.

Photograph from Mr. Hegarty in Camp LeJeune of the first experimental USMC LAV equipped for Electronic Warfare in 1985. While in the Marine Corps and stationed with 2nd Radio Battalion, Mr. Hegarty was heavily involved in the early field testing of this prototype unit.

Mr. Hegarty is a Marine Corps SIGINT and Ground Electronic Warfare Veteran and Electrical Engineer with expertise in Electromagnetics, Antennas, Communications Theory, Receiver Design, and Jamming.
